League Organizer Checklist

Everything club managers should configure before opening registration for a new season.

Define the season format

Choose ladder, round-robin, or hybrid formats before publishing registration. Set season dates, division structure, and whether playoffs follow regular play. Clear format rules reduce disputes and help players know what they are signing up for.

Configure challenge and approval rules

Set challenge ranges, maximum pending challenges, and result-approval SLAs. Decide who approves scores — organizers only, or captains too. Courtlio's partner tools let you enforce these policies automatically instead of tracking them in spreadsheets.

Set fees, capacity, and registration

Confirm entry fees, division caps, and waitlist behavior before opening sign-ups. Communicate refund rules for withdrawals and what happens when a division fills. Paid leagues on Courtlio can collect platform fees and auto-approve players once payment completes.

Launch communications

Publish the season to members, share the registration link, and post challenge rules on day one. Assign a point of contact for disputes. After launch, monitor pending approvals and inactive players weekly — early intervention keeps seasons healthy.
