Question 1

What is Courtlio?

Accepted Answer

Courtlio is a racket-sports competition platform for amateur players and clubs. It supports tennis, padel, pickleball, and squash with leagues, tournaments, Elo rankings, and matchmaking. It is not a generic court-booking or coaching app.

Question 2

Is Courtlio free for clubs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Organizers can run leagues for up to 50 active players on the free Starter plan. Paid plans add advanced analytics, tournaments, and multi-site tools.

Question 3

Is Courtlio a court-booking app?

Accepted Answer

Competition comes first. Some partner clubs let members reserve courts in the app, but Courtlio’s core is ranked leagues, challenges, and Elo — not replacing a club’s booking system.

Question 4

Does it cost money to play?

Accepted Answer

The Courtlio app is free to download. For paid leagues, the entry fee is shown on the league page and collected through Courtlio; you cannot register without completing payment. Court and other match costs are separate.

Question 5

How do I sign in?

Accepted Answer

Use email or phone OTP, or Sign in with Apple. Courtlio is passwordless — you verify with a one-time code.

Question 6

How do I find matches?

Accepted Answer

Share availability from Home, browse match requests and players in Explore, or join a club league and send ladder challenges.

Question 7

What is the difference between a match request and a challenge?

Accepted Answer

A match request is an open listing anyone can respond to. A direct challenge targets one player from their profile or Explore.

Question 8

Where do I manage my matches?

Accepted Answer

Open Matches from Home to see Upcoming, Needs action (confirmations and challenges), and Past matches in one place.

Question 9

How do I join a league?

Accepted Answer

Go to Leagues → Explore, pick a season, and register. Free leagues require organizer approval; paid leagues are approved automatically once payment is completed through Courtlio.

Question 10

How do ladder challenges work?

Accepted Answer

In ladder leagues you challenge players within the rank range set by the organizer. Ladder challenges are auto-accepted and must be played before the deadline.

Question 11

How do I submit a match result?

Accepted Answer

Open the match, enter the score, and submit. Your opponent is notified to confirm in Matches → Needs action.

Question 12

What if my opponent does not confirm the result?

Accepted Answer

The result stays pending until your opponent confirms or disputes it. Standings and Elo update only after confirmation.

Question 13

How do I join a club?

Accepted Answer

In Explore → Clubs, open a club and submit a membership request. The club reviews it — usually within 24 hours — and you get a notification when approved.

Question 14

How does court booking work?

Accepted Answer

From a club profile, open Courts and reserve a slot. Some clubs confirm instantly; others review requests. Members-only clubs require approved membership.

Question 15

How do rankings work?

Accepted Answer

Courtlio uses an Elo-based rating that changes after each confirmed rated match. NTRP on your profile is your self-reported skill level from onboarding.

Question 16

How do I set up a league?

Accepted Answer

Create a partner account, define your league format and divisions, invite players, and start approving match results as they come in.

Question 17

What tools are included for free?

Accepted Answer

Free organizers get league creation, standings, result approval, and player enrollment for up to 50 active players.

Question 18

How are results approved?

Accepted Answer

Players submit scores from the app. Organizers review them in a pending queue and approve with one click to update standings.

Question 19

How do I log in to the partner platform?

Accepted Answer

Club organizers manage leagues at partners.courtlio.com. Apply as a partner club if you do not have access yet.

Question 20

How do I approve club membership requests?

Accepted Answer

Open the partner portal, go to your club’s members section, and approve or decline pending applications. Players are notified in the mobile app.

Question 21

Is there a mobile app?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Courtlio is available on iOS and Android for players. Organizers manage leagues on the partner web platform.

Question 22

How do I update my account?

Accepted Answer

Open Profile → Settings in the mobile app to update your profile, notification preferences, and privacy options.

Question 23

Why am I not getting notifications?

Accepted Answer

Check Settings → Notification preferences in the app and allow notifications in your phone settings. Match, challenge, and league alerts can be toggled separately.

Question 24

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings → Delete Account in the mobile app. This permanently removes your profile, match history, and league data.
